The Diagnostician Program · CMIO, LLC

Examine. Treat. Hold the seat.

Every engagement follows the clinical method from the book. It starts free, with your own self-examination, and moves only as far as your organization needs: a workup and written diagnosis, a treatment plan, or a physician in the seat.

1Tier 1 · The Workup

History & Physical

I perform a targeted or complete workup of your organization, by interview and examination, and report my findings and diagnosis in writing.

Ask about a workup
Targeted or complete

A targeted workup examines one system that worries you, such as the EHR or data quality. A complete workup examines them all and ends in the differential and the written diagnosis.

Scope and fee are agreed in writing before work begins.

Treatment Plan

I guide your organization while your people do the work, whether the plan comes from my diagnosis or from a project you have already chosen.

Ask about treatment

The Physician in the Seat

When the seat is empty, or the work needs a physician executive's full authority, I hold it.

Ask about interim leadership
  • Interim CMIO or CHIOexecuting the Diagnostician method: the function installed, working, and handed to a successor
  • Interim CMIO or CHIO for engagements and projectsEHR purchase, transition or optimization, refuel, AI purchase and governance, and the change management around them

The book warns against a seat without authority. Interim leadership comes with decision rights in writing.
